Ashes Scattering at Sea from Weymouth

Snapper Charters offer an ashes scattering at sea service from Weymouth Harbour. Charter a private boat for your friends and family to say good bye to your loved one at a scenic location along the Dorset Coast.

Dorset has a special place in many people’s hearts. We can help you arrange send off to honour your loved one at their favourite place. Scattering ashes at sea is also a fitting way to honour people who loved spending time on the water, whether it be for work or for other past times such as sailing or fishing.

Over the years we’ve helped families scatter ashes at a variety of peaceful locations along the Jurassic Coast. Scattering ashes from a boat means you can reach places that would otherwise be inaccessible. It also ensures you have complete privacy as you celebrate the life of those that have passed.

We can head to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Portland Bill, Portland Harbour or Newtons Cove. We can even stop in a quiet spot in the middle of Weymouth Bay - giving you plenty of time say some special words and enjoy being out in nature. We’re often told people find the peace and tranquility of being on the water calming, at this difficult time.

We’re happy to work with you to ensure the trip meets your exacting requirements. Simply get in touch to discuss your wishes and we can help you plan something special. Some people choose to finish the trip with a scenic cruise to admire the beautiful coastline. Others prefer to head back in. It’s completely up to you.

On the day we will let you know one we’ve arrived at the desired location and position the boat to make it as stable as possible. We’ll then stay in the cabin to give you privacy to say goodbye at your own pace. Simply let us know when you’re ready to go. You’re more than welcome to bring flowers or notes to place in the water. Please ensure these are biodegradable.
