If you’re looking for the best boat trips in Weymouth, look no further than Snapper Charters. Of course we might be biased, but we think we offer some of the best sightseeing and fishing trips along the Jurassic Coast.

Join us for a couple of hours on the water aboard our fleet of modern vessels – Snapper and Jurassic. Our boat trips are excellent value for money and are one of the best things to do in Weymouth if you’re looking for an outdoor adventure activity with your family, partner on friends.

Here we outline just some of the boat trips we offer from our mooring in Weymouth Harbour. Join us as we take in spectacular scenery, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Portland Bill.

Please note, all of our boat trips are incredibly relaxed and do not include a formal commentary.

1. Durdle Door, Wildlife & Ships

Our Durdle Door boat trip is our most popular sightseeing tour. On this trip we venture out of Weymouth Harbour and along the Jurassic Coast until we get to the iconic natural landmark – Durdle Door. Here we stop to snap family photos and marvel at the iconic limestone arch from the sea. Take some time to appreciate its beauty – few people get to experience it from the water, so you’re promised a special sight.

Along the way we’ll pass any ships that are anchored in the bay. We’ll also keep our eyes peeled for wildlife, including dolphins and sea birds. Though please note the sea is not a zoo and sightings are not guaranteed!

Every summer Weymouth plays host to a number of impressive fireworks displays. The fireworks are let off from a barge in the middle of the bay, against the backdrop of Weymouth esplanade, which twinkles with lights. There are a number of displays throughout the summer season, including full noise and low noise displays.

Watch the firework display from aboard our vessel on one of our firework boat trips. See the colourful rockets as they soar into the sky. Before the fireworks we enjoy a leisurely steam down to Red Cliff next to Bowleaze Cove to enjoy the sunset before heading back to find the perfect spot to anchor.
