With 2017 drawing to a close, it’s time to look back on some of Snapper Charters best fish from our Channel Islands trips this year.
Throughout May and June Snapper Charters headed to the Channel Islands for a number of 3-5 day trips with the intention of targeting Turbot and Brill. These longer trips are usually a great laugh and see some fantastic fish and this year was no exception.

Mid Channel Wrecking
Initially, the weather was not on our side and a couple of trips saw some less than ideal channel crossing with a longer than normal steam time. However, once in the islands the fishing lived up to expectations. On the way there and back we had some fantastic sport on the wrecks catching Cod and Pollack to a good size.

Alderney Flatfish
Over the course of trips we landed a number of Turbot and Brill whilst on the drift.

Besides flatfish, Alderney and Guernsey throw up a whole host of other species, including Bass, Rays, Bull Huss, and Tope.

Channel Islands trips make a fantastic holiday and offer plenty of time to socialise with friends in beautiful surroundings with good restaurants and pubs!
