Beginners Boat Fishing in Weymouth

Our half day boat fishing trips are a fantastic activity for all the family during a holiday in Weymouth. Spend a morning or afternoon in the great outdoors while learning a new skill!

What does the half day fishing trip involve?

Start the trip with a gentle steam along the harbour before emerging into Weymouth Bay. Sit back and enjoy the views as we navigates to the chosen fishing mark, which will vary depending on the weather and state of the tide on the day.

Once you’ve arrived, our skippers will prepare the bait, set the rod up for you and give a demonstration on what to do. We will then be as hands on as you need us to be and can help you bait your hook, net your fish and hold your catch for a photo!

It’s not a problem if you’ve never fished before, we welcome hundreds of complete beginners each summer! Many people catch their first ever fish on Snapper and are ‘hooked’ from then on in!

"Highly recommend for intrepid children"

"Took my two kids aged 9 and 11, they loved it. Luke, the skipper of the boat made sure everyone on board caught a fish before the end. I caught my very first and second fish. Highly recommended for intrepid children".
